MAGENTO BACKEND DEVELOPER (FULL/PART-TIME, REMOTE)

Pronko Consulting is recruiting a Magento Backend Developer to join our growing E-Commerce team on a remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a web developer to work with a team of exceptional strategic, creative, and technical digital specialists.

As a Magento focused e-Commerce Agency, we work collaboratively to deliver best-in-class applications for some of Europe's biggest retail brands.

We are looking for a Magento 2 developer with a primary focus on PHP and backend development. Experience working with Magento 2 is a must.

Responsibilities

Develop custom extensions for Magento 1 and 2 for specific business needs
Perform support and development tasks on the Magento eCommerce Platform
Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
Debug complex issues and bugs using debugging tools
Conduct code reviews
Create, document, and implement unit tests and scripts
Collaborate with colleagues from Design, Marketing, Development, and Support
Liaise with team members, clients, and 3rd party service providers to develop new ways to enhance website functionality and eCommerce conversion

Required Technical Skills

Excellent programming skills in core PHP is required
2+ years experience with Magento 1.x and 2.x (CE and EE), good understanding of the functional and technical aspect of the application
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
Knowledge of Git, MySQL, Nginx, Javascript, and CSS (SASS and LESS)
Ability to debug complex PHP application (Xdebug, Profiler, and others)
Experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP) and/or SOA
Development following PHP coding standards (PSR)
Experience with NoSQL databases and queue systems is required (e.g. Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Knowledge of other PHP Frameworks is a plus (e.g. Laravel, Symfony, Laminas)
